Families log on, create their own unique profile for the enrolled AMA student, and experience Montessori education through live, one-on-one virtual teaching, an evolving library of content tailored for individual ages and developmental milestones, and guided lessons presented just as they would if the child were in-person in a Montessori classroom.
Available on mobile or desktop, the AMA @Home Remote Learning dashboard includes features for course section selection, announcements posted by the child’s teacher, notes, homework, exams, and administrative tools, as well as tabs for feedback, report cards and scheduling live one-on-one interactions.
Guided sessions and live small group lessons bring the students through our Montessori Curriculum and integrated, thematic approach that ties the separate disciplines together into studies of the physical universe, the world of nature, and the human experience.
Video lessons introduce concepts and offer guided instruction throughout the week, with time to prepare and practice and master new skills, including both a parent educational video explaining the lesson and one for students.
One-on-one guided sessions will be focused on lessons using Montessori Materials from the AMA Montessori Box , as well as answer any questions about the presentation and practice of specific lessons. These sessions also allow teachers to observe your child as he or she works with the materials, assessing when they have mastered a concept and are ready for the next presentation, as well as providing your family any extra guidance or assistance needed. Through this method, students will be able to move fluidly through the Montessori Materials and lessons in a way that more closely mirrors that of an in-person Montessori classroom.
Parent videos have been produced to guide families and caregivers through the purpose of each Montessori Material, including what skills are being practiced, how to best serve your child as they are working, what to look for as you observe your child working with the materials, and more.
All video lessons are assigned via the Remote Learning portal and will be visible in the homework tab/video gallery (available to enrolled families). If parents have questions relative to the program and materials, we are now able to address them live during one-on-one sessions and always through email correspondence.
The remote learning schedule incorporates more fluid development, lessons and classroom distinctions that will more accurately mirror those we use with in-person Montessori learning.
AMA Montessori @Home Remote Programs
At AMA, it is our goal to mimic a classroom experience as best as possible with the programs outlined. Our virtual programs include expert support for parents, with advanced remote learning tools with online lessons and materials sent directly home. Video lessons are provided for both students and parents, along with daily at-home work and dedicated time for families.

To be a toddler is to be curious. Daily routine nurtures the child’s inherent love of learning through critical touch points and an engaging schedule of activity.
In our Remote Toddler Program, certified Montessori educators bring children through age-appropriate, Montessori based activities and lessons across a thoughtful daily schedule, including:
Live Line Time Sessions: A time for students to come together with their guide, and engage in gross motor activities, songs, stories and fun activities as a class.
Video Lessons: Posted at the beginning of the week, video lessons introduce concepts and offer guided instruction throughout the week, with time to prepare and practice and master new skills. Lessons are presented on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with Tuesday and Thursdays dedicated for further practicing of new and past week’s activities.
Video Lessons will include a total of two videos each, including a parent educational video explaining the lesson and one for students. The videos remain posted and archived as a reference point for the child’s program level.
Scheduled 1:1 Interactions: Meetings are scheduled weekly to allow Montessori certified educators time to observe the child and how they are working, as well as presentation of additional concepts. Sessions are also dedicated to conferencing with parents so they can ask questions about the presentation and practice of specific Montessori Materials and lessons, as well as topics requiring clarification or to gather ideas or modifications for a lesson.
At the Pre-Primary age, children are working on heightened levels of concentration, independence and expanding their overall attention spans. This is a critical time during human development when the child is sensitive to stimuli that promote development.
In our Remote Pre-Primary Program, certified Montessori educators bring children through age-appropriate, Montessori based activities and lessons across a thoughtful daily schedule, including:
Weekly Live Group Lessons: Live student group sessions are a great way to work and learn together. At this age, children are working on heightened levels of concentration, independence and expanding their overall attention spans. Having a weekly group session aids in supporting these concepts and prepare the child for success. Students have materials ready to work with as a group (coordinated in advance), including a review of an item from our Montessori Boxes or from a lesson posted for the corresponding week.

Children at the Primary age become more self-controlled and self-sufficient. Dr. Montessori characterized the Primary child as having “an absorbent mind,” soaking up knowledge automatically. Make-believe play and imagination blossoms, while language continues to expand.
In our Remote Primary Program, certified Montessori educators bring children through age-appropriate, Montessori based activities and lessons across a thoughtful daily schedule, including:
Live Group Lessons: Twice weekly live student group sessions support key educational concepts along with important grace & courtesy/socialization experiences. A combination of gross motor activities, songs, social interaction, and practice with Montessori materials make for a fun and well-rounded class for students.
Video Lessons: Video lessons introduce concepts to both parents and students and are assigned through the parent portal based on individual student readiness.
Video lessons will include a total of two videos each, including a parent education video explaining the lesson, giving tips, and sharing to look for while observing. There is also a video for students that mimics the lesson they would be receiving in the classroom. The videos remain posted for students and families to practice with and refer back to.
