WELCOME TO AMA SCHOOL
At American Montessori Academy, we provide a foundation for academic and personal excellence and encourage the love of learning inherent in every child through participation and engagement.
We offer year-round programs for children 8 weeks — 9 years of age with flexible scheduling options, including:
Half Day (8:00am—12:30pm)
School Day (8:00am—3:30pm)
Extended Day (7:30am—5:00pm)
All Day (7:30am—6:30pm)
The heart of learning at American Montessori Academy thrives in orderly and beautiful environments in which our AMS / AMI Montessori Certified educators promote the development of each child’s true potential and ensure success for life-long learning.
We enjoy an excellent student to teacher ratio across all programs, in which skills of independence, self-discipline, problem-solving and a secure foundation of early academic knowledge develop spontaneously within our unique learning environment. Our large, renovated spaces within the historic buildings provide new architecture and state-of-the-art classrooms, an expansive indoor large motor room, and a beautiful mezzanine where parents and staff can connect. Brimming windows allow for natural light within classrooms that are fully equipped with child-sized counters, ADA-compliant bathrooms, sinks and fixtures.
American Montessori Academy is a Full Member School of the American Montessori Society (AMS), is a member of the Association of Illinois Montessori Schools and is registered with the Illinois State Board of Education.
Our Infant (8 weeks-15 months), Toddler (15-24 months), and Pre-Primary (24-47 months) Programs are fully-licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
